Vermont trip
I had an awesome weekend. I think it was one of the best Valentine Day's in a long time. It actually started out badly. I awoke to my cell phone playing Hey Ya (I'm a huge dork and programed it, actually Rodney programed it, to do that after we got that in our pep books). So turns out that I had set the alarm to go off at 7:30 am but the actual clock was showing the time being in the pm. So after talking with Chris I decided I wasn't going to be able to make it there in 15 minutes.However, being the cheap person I am I realized that was a waste of 20 dollars and called back saying I would try my hardest to get there. Luckily they said they would come and get me. So after 10 minutes of running around the room I was ready to meet Carl's van.
In the van was Carl, Rachel, Mikey, Katie, Maureen, Laura, Steph, Kellie, Kim, Katie, Me, Eric, Mike, and Rodney, we had a blast driving up there,unlike, Dale we did not miss our exit, instead we were in the lead for most of the time unlike the other vans speed ahead of us.Laura was the sacrifice although I don't remember why.
We arrived in time for the women's basketball game. It was fabulous. Even though we didn't get to play a lot we fully supported our team. By cheering as loud as we could. We screamed loudered than their fans did. We also got to sit behind the bench for a change. So we got to hear what the coach was yelling about. At the end of the first half we were behind by something like 20 points. But we were able to pull it together and have our first win in Vermon in something like 15 years.
After that we were able to go to the hotel. It was pretty nice. In my room there were 3 people, Katie (flutest), Diane, and myself. We went out dinner and shopping before coming back to watch a little TLC.
Today we went to the Men's game. All 4,000 tickets were sold. There were about 20 BU fans among all the Vermont fans. Their fans are crazy! Not only did they boo us but they threw stuff at us. I was a victim to the pizza they threw. Luckily it only got on the back of my Pep band shirt and Erin's shoes. Although if someone had gotten it on my shoes they would have died. But that's because I had just bought new shoes from Payless (Yay for 7 dollar shoes!)I couldn't believe someone would do that!
So of course we won! The final score was 80-70. GO BU!!!!!! We had to run onto the court at the end of the game so we wouldn't get attacked by the fans. It was scary and exciting at the same time.
I thought the highlight was when we stopped at BK for lunch and who should walk in after us but the team!!! It wasn't the whole team though, I guess some of them went to McDs across the street.
The worst part about the rid back was the staff's van, which already didn't have heat, seemed to have a crack in the engine ( I think) so we pulled over to a gas station to try and fix the problem. After about a half an hour we were on our way without them. Of course, our van didn't have the trunk door completely shut so the window were getting frosted from the inside. We never figured out how to fix it, but I'm sure Rachel and Carl enjoyed scraping the windows every 5 minutes all the way back to Boston.
Wow I just wrote all this and realized that most of the sisters were there so this weekend recap was a total waste of my time. Oh well, hopefully someone has fun qoutes to add that will make it all better
